LucyDNA Health and Wellness uses personal, health, order, and genetic risk information to provide genetics-informed health and wellness services, member support, recommendations, and fulfillment.

This policy explains what information LucyDNA collects, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to members and website visitors.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through use of LucyDNA services, and information needed to operate our website, app, and backend systems.

  • Account and contact information, including name, email, phone number, address, login identifiers, and membership status.
  • Health profile information, including date of birth, sex, ethnicity, biometrics, lifestyle preferences, dietary preferences, goals, clinical inputs, and health history.
  • Genetic risk report information, including selected chronic conditions, disease-level PRS outputs, sequencing/report links, model metadata, covariate notes, and provider recommendations.
  • Order and fulfillment information, including selected reports, kit orders, payment metadata, mailing list preferences, shipping details, and order status.
  • Device, website, and app usage information, including logs, analytics events, IP address, browser type, crash data, and security activity.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create accounts, authenticate members, and maintain secure access to LucyDNA services.
  • To process chronic disease genetic risk report orders, coordinate kits, and provide fulfillment updates.
  • To support disease-level genetic risk reports, health goals, recommendations, provider review, and longitudinal wellness tracking.
  • To send service messages, account notices, order updates, recommendation notices, and consent-based marketing communications.
  • To improve product reliability, security, support workflows, documentation, and operational reporting.
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce policies, prevent fraud, and protect members, staff, and LucyDNA systems.

3. Genetic and Health Information

LucyDNA treats genetic risk report data and health profile information as sensitive. We use this information to support disease-level risk assessment, recommendation workflows, member education, and operational follow-through. LucyDNA does not sell genetic or health information.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only when needed to provide the service, operate the business, or comply with applicable requirements.

  • With service providers that support hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, customer support, and fulfillment.
  • With clinical, genetics, or provider review teams when needed for recommendation, report, or member support workflows.
  • With shipping, kit, laboratory, or fulfillment partners when needed to complete an order or process a sample.
  • With regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate protections.

5. Payments

LucyDNA may collect order and subscription payment metadata, such as payment status, provider reference, card brand, and last four digits. Full card numbers are processed by payment providers and are not intended to be stored by LucyDNA.

6. Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, meet operational needs, comply with law, resolve disputes, and maintain security. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your Choices

  • You may update account, profile, biometrics, goals, and preference information through available app or support workflows.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information where available under applicable law.
  • You may opt out of marketing messages. Service, account, order, and security messages may still be sent.

8. International Transfers

LucyDNA may process information in Canada, the United States, and other locations where service providers operate. When information is transferred, we use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and applicable requirements.

9. Children

LucyDNA services are not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.
